This bulletin will be updated regularly until the start of the School with new information related to lectures, lecturers, discussion leaders, students and practical information in particular regarding how to arrive at Conference Town Hotel.

Important information
Because of the arrival times of the participants are too far apart it has not been possible to organize a school bus from Santiago to Viña.
Therefore you should arrive in Viña at Conference Town Hotel by your own means. [Conference Town, Double Almeida 80 – Reñaca – Telephone: (56-32) 834609]

General traveling information to Chile:
Most participants will arrive in Chile at the Santiago International Airport (SCL) and go through customs and immigration there.
Visas:
Citizens of Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay only need their identification card in order to enter Chile. Citizens of other countries need a valid passport and may in addition need a visa - please inquire at the nearest Chilean embassy or consulate.
Citizens of the United States do not need a visa but must pay a reciprocity fee of $100 (cash or credit card) when entering the country (after leaving the aircraft and before going through immigration). This fee is valid for the life of your passport. There is no such fee for citizens of most European countries.

Money exchange:
There are several ATMs at the airport - this is in most cases the best way to change money.
You will need chilean pesos (CLP) to pay the bus ride (or taxi).

How to go to Center Santiago
There are a lot of taxis and vans proposed at the Airport. You can negociate the price. For a reservation please visit www.transvip.net

You can stop at Pajaritos that is the closest Metro Station. The trip to Pajaritos costs 1200 CLP.
From Pajaritos, you can take
-  the Metro to go downtown Santiago (link to metro).
-  regular buses to Viña del Mar

How to go to Viña del Mar.
If you are flying LAN you are entitled to use their direct buses to Viña del Mar.
Departure times at 8:30 , 12.15, 21.00 and 22.30, arriving in Viña 90 min. later
Please check the exact departure place at LAN desk (1^st floor – departure level).
N.B.: the LAN buses are direct but the stop in Viña is not the bus terminal.

Registration:
Registration will take place from 6.45 to 8.00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18.
Participants arriving later should inform me by email (danielle.metral@cern.ch).
Please note that dinner is fixed at 8:30 p.m.

Poster session:
Please bring your own poster/poster material since the printing facilities at the hotel are limited. The recommended size is A1, but other formats can be displayed.

Computers
In case you are bringing your own laptop, the hotel is equipped with wireless access. Otherwise there are a few PCs available at the hotel.
