Scientific ProgrammeLecturesThere will be around 32 lectures in all, each lasting about 75 minutes, with additional time for questions and discussion. The programme is as follows: Cosmological Inflation Flavour Physics Planck and Cosmic Microwave Background Practical Statistics for Particle Physicists Field Theory and the EW Standard Model Beyond the Standard Model Heavy-Ion Physics Neutrino Physics QCD There will also be lectures by Rolf Heuer, Director General of CERN, and by Nikolai Rusakovich from JINR. In addition, there will be a special evening lecture on the Northern Lights by Esa Turunen from EISCAT. The timetable of the lectures, that is subject to updates, is available from here. Discussion SessionsThere will be discussion sessions, lasting about 75 minutes, most afternoons during the School. Students remain in the same discussion group for the duration of the School. The discussion leaders will be: Poster SessionThe students are encouraged to present and discuss their work at a poster session during the first week of the School. |
